Get to know the playwrights!
Valeria and Matias Lievano are the co-writers and lyricists of RISING, they are currently high school seniors at Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia (picture two). Valeria has been a part of the CNG theatre community since 2011 and has portrayed characters like Brigitta Von Trapp in The Sound of Music (picture one), Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, Titania in Midsummer's Night Dream, and most recently Tanya in Mamma Mia. Matias has also formed a big part of the theatre department, featuring as Kurt Von Trapp in The Sound of Music (picture one), John Darling in Peter Pan, Bottom in Midsummer's Night Dream, and last but not least, Harry in Mamma Mia. This is the first musical Valeria and Matias have written as well as CNG's first student produced original musical.
